A useful website earns its place in the conversation

A visitor should be able to identify the business, understand the work offered and check coverage without hunting through vague marketing copy. We organise the site around those decisions. Urgent work gets a direct call route; planned work gets room for scope and appointment questions. The design uses your approved identity and genuine material, with readable content and contact controls that remain usable on a small screen.

Plan the content before decorating the pages

We agree the service structure, contact destinations and facts each page needs before building. That includes the work you do not accept, the areas you cover and any availability you can support. Existing sites receive a URL inventory so a redesign does not casually discard useful pages. Where a page URL changes, we plan the appropriate redirect. New copy is written for your business, not adapted from a competitor by swapping names.

  • A page plan with a clear purpose and primary contact action.
  • An approved fact sheet for services, coverage and business details.
  • A migration map for existing URLs where a rebuild needs one.

Make contact work on real screens

We build layouts that support scanning, with legible text, accessible controls and genuine service imagery where available. Calling stays prominent without covering the content. Forms ask for the information needed to assess an enquiry, such as postcode and job type, and provide clear error states. We check the route behind the button as well as its appearance. A successful-looking message is not accepted as evidence that the business received an enquiry.

  • Mobile and desktop checks for navigation, forms and call links.
  • Keyboard, focus and contrast checks on the main customer journeys.
  • Agreed delivery tests for forms and approved contact destinations.

Launch with the essentials checked

The launch checklist covers crawlable content, page titles, canonical URLs, sitemap consistency and redirects where required. We size images sensibly and investigate avoidable loading delays and layout movement. Performance tests inform improvements, but a strong test score does not guarantee rankings. The website supports organic search; it does not replace Google Business Profile work for Maps. We document what was tested, what needs access and what remains for the business to approve.

  • Technical checks on the agreed pages before and after launch.
  • A handover covering editing access and routine content updates.
  • A list of outstanding dependencies, maintenance tasks and measurement choices.
